Mobile Home Park Facilities in Spain |
|
To begin with it all depends if you are looking at a dedicated residential only park or a joint camping/mobile home park. We will begin with the dedicated residential parks and what facilities you will find on them. The first and most important facility is the park office. There you should have all the support you need as well as your own post box because after all you are residential and you will have your own postal address. The quality of the reception building is in relation to the park itself. The more grand the reception the higher the quality of the park.
The other very big difference with a dedicated residential park is that the office will only be dealing with the residents and as many of the residents are settled and living without any problems you can expect to be dealt with straight away by the receptionist on duty. The receptionist is not only there to deal with any issues as far as living on the park goes but is there to assist in all things Spain related. They are on duty to ensure that you do not have any problems.

The facilities on the residential parks always start with a residents use only swimming pool. There is one park however near Antequera that does allow visitors onto the park from outside just to use the swimming pool, but in the main they are solely for the residents use. The next most important facility is the leisure complex. On residential parks they tend to double up as a pool bar/function room to what can only be described as the mobile home parks equivalent to a local village hall. On a good park the residents arrange their own entertainment and the complex is used as a community centre. An example of this is lists on notice boards asking if you want to go on a coach trip to Gibraltar. Other facilities you can expect as standard should be satellite TV connected, phone line and of course Internet. Your mobile home will also be on a larger 200 sq mtr plot.
Park La Posada in the village of Alameda is a good example of a residential park.

Facilities on joint camping/mobile home parks are very different. The facilities on the whole are geared around the holiday campers. There is always an office but it is designed to book in campers as well as deal with any mobile home owners concerns. The swimming pool will be there as well but it will be shared with those who are on holiday camping. The other facilities usually on offer are cafe's and restaurants close by and again they are there with the holiday makers in mind. On joint parks owners of mobile homes usually have to arrange their own Satellite dish and phone and Internet is not always possible. Internet is not such a problem these days thanks to the movistar and vodafone stick modems which although slightly more expensive do allow internet connection from almost anywhere. The downside as far as living space is concerned is that on joint parks the plot sizes do tend to be smaller. You will feel like you are on holiday all year on a joint park.
Sierrecilla in the village of Humilladero is a good example of a quality joint camping and mobile home park.
To conclude, seeing the best parks that either types of parks have to offer is the best way to determine which type of park suits you best and the one company that can help arrange for you to see both parks is with Carefree Lifestyle ... and Park Homes Spain SL www.findinspain.com
